25/August/2015 As a result of successful bit, the Cyber Creative Institute received an order of survey and analysis from Japan Patent Office on “Satellite Positioning System” on July 30. This survey aims to: 1) clarify trend of relevant technologies through research and development status analysis; 2) clarify worldwide technology and industry potentials and; 3) arrange subjects that Japanese industries and government should tackle so as to identify the direction of research and technology development. The survey is mainly conducted on globally applied patents of past ten years.
25/August/2015 As a result of successful bit, the Cyber Creative Institute received an order of survey and analysis from Japan Patent Office on “Patents of General category” on July 30. This survey aims to: 1) identify new notable technologies and designs found on newspapers, journals and technical papers and investigate relevant patent information; 2) investigate notable patent application behaviors of key patent applicants and; 3) identify technologies of a strong public interest and find relevant patent application and market trends. The survey will show the future patent application trend of general category. Note-This general category means technologies which are not listed in specific technology categories by Japan Patent Office, such as mechanical, chemical, electric and electronic engineering, etc.
29/July/2015 “Satellite Phone Service” article by a CCi expert in RF world No.31 of CQ Publishing Co.,Ltd. (in Japanese) CCi expert, Mr. Susumu Ueno published an article entitled “Satellite Phone Service Today – Wide Star, Inmarsat, IRIDUIM, THURAYA, etc.” in RF world No.31 of CQ Publishing Co.,Ltd. This article deals with satellite phone services provided in Japan, including their history, system configurations, services, usages in the Great East Japan Earthquake area, and their future direction. Mr. Ueno has more than 30 year experiences in developing telecommunication satellites and satellite telecommunication systems.
20/March/2015 The Cyber Publishing Center published a book of painting entitled “Scenery of Winds –with friends of Crazy Painters Club (in Japanese), by Kunio MASUNO”
6/February/2015 As a result of successful bit, the Cyber Creative Institute received an order of survey and analysis from the Ministry of Internal Affair and Communications. The survey and analysis will identify information and communication technologies (ICT) trend for Cyber Physical Systems which includes trends on policies and activities of foreign countries, industries, products and standardization, and will find possible ways to promote relevant ICT use through standardizations.
19/December/2014 The Cyber Publishing Centre published “A story of optical fiber” in Japanese.The publishing division of the Cyber Creative Institute published a book titled “A story of optical fiber”. A Japanese researcher, deeply involved in the development of optical fibers, optical cables recorded his history. The history includes an experience of the first field test of Japanese optical fiber cables.
7/November/2014 Successful bid for “Technology trend survey of Japan Patent Office for 2014 fiscal on artificial intelligence technologies through applied patents”On October 27th, CCI made a successful bid for a technology trend survey that was publicly invited by Japan Patent Office. The survey includes an artificial intelligence technology survey through applied patents. The survey studies patent application trends on artificial intelligence technologies in which a machine think as human beings based on the advancement of computational performance and identifies the status of technological innovation, a technical competitive power of Japan and a future direction. Artificial intelligence technologies include but not limited to a challenge to establish functions of human brain on a machine, a partial realization of intellectual activities of human beings, conversation technology like a human, image recognition, rule identification and rule base responding technology.
7/November/2014 Successful bid for “Technology trend survey of Japan Patent Office for 2014 fiscal on disaster prevention and mitigation technologies through applied patents”On October 27th, CCI made a successful bid for a technology trend survey that was publicly invited by Japan Patent Office. The survey includes disaster prevention and mitigation technologies survey through applied patents. The eastern Japan earthquake and tsunami disaster increased public crisis awareness against natural disasters and disaster prevention and mitigation technologies. The survey studies patent application trends on disaster prevention and mitigation technologies and identifies the status of technological innovation, a technical competitive power of Japan and a future direction.
1/October/2014 On October 1st, CCI obtained a business license for paid job-placement service from the ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. By this license, CCI enables to perform job-placement, job-finding and employment displacing dispatching. Hereafter, CCI responds to wider labor market needs in addition to CCI’s conventional worker dispatch business.
8/August/2014 Successful bid for “Follow-up work for business promotion” of National Institute of Information and Communications TechnologyOn August 11th, CCI made a successful bid for “Follow-up work for business promotion” which was publicly invited by National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT). This work performs a follow-up survey of business status, promotes the business and compiles R&D results. The businesses are carried by R&D commissioned companies. A R&D commission was provided by using a private core technology research and development system for a company whose R&D proposal was accepted by NICT.
17/July/2014 Successful bid for “Patent Application Trend Survey of Electric and Electronics Category of Japan Patent Office for 2014 fiscal”On June 17th, CCI made a successful bid for a patent application trend survey that was publicly invited by Japan Patent Office. The survey focuses electric and electronics category of technologies. The survey: (1) depicts new remarkable technologies noted in newspapers, magazines and technical papers, and search relevant applied patents; (2) finds patent applicant remarkable activities relevant to the patent and depict further relevant patents; and (3) clarifies patent application and registration status of selected important technologies. By doing this, the patent application trends are obtained.

26/June/2013 Cyber Creative Institute released a white paper on the evaluation of LTEessential patents.The white paper studies the patents that have been declared to ETSI, byparticipating companies, as essential to LTE technologies.
The white paper assesses the relevance of those patents to LTE
specifications based on the company’s fair criteria.
The main result estimates the number of truly essential patents held by

27/January/2012 Cyber Creative Institute was awarded contracts on survey projects from the Intelligent Systems Research Institute, a division of National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).The projects include “survey on patent infringement in image processing programs” and bidding was concluded between 19 December, 2011 and 27 January, 2012.The survey will deal with software modules developed, in the past five years, by the next-generation intelligent robot technology project and study 2,000 to 9,000 patents to prevent potential patent infringements.
